OTTAWA - A list of locations where recalled beef products from an Alberta-based producer were sold has been expanded to include Atlantic Canada, and five more outlets in Ontario.
The and Rancher's Beef on Saturday announced a recall of all beef products produced between June 8 to August 15 from the facility because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 bacteria.
Cuts ranging from ground beef to rib eye and sirloins steaks were shipped directly to corporate clients, including distributors, processors and a small number of retail establishments.
The Rancher's plant is under receivership and no longer operating.
CFIA says there are no reported illnesses associated with consumption of the products. Consumers who may have previously purchased the products and still have them in their freezers, are advised not to consume them.
Befor this announcement, 19 outlets stretching from B-C to Ontario had been identified as having sold the affected meat products.
