Prince Harry made a surprise appearance at Toronto鈥檚 Air Canada Centre on Thursday to participate in a WE Day celebration.

Everyone鈥檚 favourite red-haired prince took time away from championing the Invictus Games in Toronto to back the WE Charity鈥檚 travelling youth empowerment event and its founder, Craig Kielburger.

Prince Harry urged the crowd of thousands of young people to work together and help one another in order to build a brighter future.

鈥淲e are stronger when we work together,鈥 he said.

He also spoke about environmental sustainability and expressed his frustration with how 鈥渆ntrenched mindsets are not keeping pace with the urgency of the threats to our environment.鈥

Rick Hansen, Canada鈥檚 Man in Motion, introduced the prince to a raucous reception, after touting the Invictus Games.

Prince Harry previously appeared at Free The Children鈥檚 first-ever WE Day event in the U.K. in 2014, where he told the gathered crowd that helping others is 鈥渢he coolest thing in the world.鈥

WE Day festivities usually include a strong roster of celebrities.

In addition to Prince Harry, this year鈥檚 A-list attendees include Kelly Clarkson, Vanessa Hudgens, Lilly Singh, Penny Oleksiak, George Takei, Mia Farrow and former UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon.
