Police in Barrie, Ont., are investigating after a local church鈥檚 website was hacked by someone proclaiming support for the Islamic State terror group and calling for the elimination of America.
Someone posted what appears to be the ISIS logo and wrote 鈥淚 love you ISIS鈥� on the Inniswood Baptist Church website Monday afternoon.
A long, difficult-to-decipher message calling for the destruction of America was also posted on the site, along with images of fighter jets and bloody victims of attacks.
It鈥檚 not known how long those messages and pictures remained on the church鈥檚 website, but the page was restored back to normal by late Monday afternoon.
When contacted by CTV Barrie, a church representative said they were unaware of the hack. Barrie Police said they鈥檝e received a complaint about the incident and are now investigating.
