ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Police in Pakistan say a bomb has killed seven people and wounded about 30 others near a Shiite Muslim mosque in the center of the country.
The blast occurred Thursday evening in the city of Dera Ghazi Khan.
City police official Pir Bakhsh says the bomb went off near a bus stop as worshippers were streaming toward the mosque for prayers. He said the dead and wounded have been rushed to hospitals.
Bakhsh didn't speculate on the motive for the attack. However, Pakistan has seen a steady stream of bombings and shootings attributed to violent sectarian groups.
