ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - A roadside bomb exploded Friday as a wedding party was passing nearby in Pakistan's volatile northwest, killing at least 10 people and wounding four others, police said.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast in Swat valley, a former tourist destination about 100 miles from the capital, Islamabad. The area is home to Taliban and al-Qaida-linked militants.
Many of the victims in the blast were wedding guests, said Ayaz Khan, a local police official.
