TRENTON, Ont. - The bodies of two Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan are scheduled to return home in a repatriation ceremony Wednesday.
Warrant Officer Hani Massouh, 41, and Cpl. Eric Labbe, 31, were killed Sunday when their armoured vehicle rolled over in wet, rugged terrain southwest of Kandahar City. It was the third time Canadian soldiers have died in a rollover of a light-armoured vehicle.
Both were members of the 2nd Battalion, Royal 22nd Regiment - the Van Doos - based out of CFB Valcartier, Que.
A repatriation ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET at CFB Trenton in eastern Ontario.
