OTTAWA - A new poll suggests the Bloc Quebecois has rebounded in Quebec and is way ahead of the Conservatives.
The Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey gives the Bloc a double-digit lead, with the Tories in second place and the Liberals in third.
Nationally, the Conservatives are at 36 per cent, with the Liberals at 23 per cent, the NDP at 17, the Greens at 12 and the Bloc at 9.
The Bloc recovery comes after several days of politicking over Tory cuts to culture funding.
The poll surveys 300 people a night in a rolling national sampling and the latest figures are based on interviews with 1,243 people Sunday through Wednesday.
The national results are considered accurate to within plus or minus 2.8 percentage points, 19 times in 20.
The margin of error is larger for regional samples.
More information on the poll is available at www.harrisdecima.com. Respondents to the poll were asked: "If a federal election were being held tomorrow, who do you think you would be voting for in your area?"
