LOS ANGELES - Sean Young has been released from custody after she was arrested at the official post-Oscars party last night (26.02.12).
The 'Young and the Restless' star reportedly posted a $20,000 bail after she was booked on misdemeanor battery charges following a citizen's arrest by security guards at the Governors Ball after she allegedly slapped a staff member when she was refused entry, KCBS-TV reports.
Sean was taken into custody by Los Angeles police officer soon after the alleged incident at the post-Oscars party thrown by the Academy at the Hollywood Renaissance hotel.
The 52-year-old brunette is thought to have been turned away from the event when security guards realised she didn't have a ticket but she came back and allegedly lashed out at a staff member who had placed his hand on her arm.
Earlier in the evening, the 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective' was spotted taking pictures with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock.
Sean told TMZ.com she was waiting to enter the ball with friends when an Oscars official advised security to make a citizen's arrest.
