Â鶹ӰÊÓ has appointed Dr. Talina Corvus, PhD, DPT, PT, ACEEAA, and Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist as Director of the PhD in Education and Leadership program within the College of Education and College of Health Professions, beginning April 10, 2025. She has served as Interim Director since July 2023.
Dr. Corvus began her Pacific journey as a student in 2009 in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. This was soon followed by her appointment as Adjunct Faculty in 2012 for the DPT program and Interprofessional Education program (IPE). In 2017, Dr. Corvus entered the PhD in Education and Leadership program here at Pacific which preceded her move to Assistant Professor in the PhDEL and IPE programs in 2020. She continues to teach in the DPT program as well. Over the years, her wealth of knowledge and skills has bridged the work and instruction between these programs.
Much of Dr. Corvus’ research and service has focused on interprofessional education and practice, admissions, and classroom belonging. Throughout her work at the university, state, and national levels, she centers equity, advocacy, and collaboration in the fields of health and education. As a teacher in three different programs for Pacific: the DPT, IPE, and PhDEL, Dr. Corvus deeply understands that creating meaningful community is critical to students’ success as well as that of the teams and programs she engages in. Dr. Corvus believes building strong communities begins with an invitation, all of which is foundational to her interactions with students, colleagues, and communities in which she resides.
Congratulations, Dr. Corvus!
