Areas I Teach
Dr. Corvus is a physical therapist and certified geriatric clinical specialist with a PhD in Education and Leadership. Her teaching, learning, research, and advocacy is seated at the intersection of health and education, and is driven by increasing equity and diversity in systems. Dr. Corvus’s scholarly work focuses specifically on admissions, belonging in the Â鶹ӰÊÓ health classroom, minority student support in Â鶹ӰÊÓ health education, Black older adult experiences of physical activity, leadership in the Physical Therapy profession, and enacting diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in health and education. She is the founding chair of the Cultural and Minority Affairs Committee within the American Physical Therapy Association’s Oregon Chapter.
Dr. Corvus’s teaching areas and interests are in diversity, equity, and inclusion, teaching and learning, leadership, systems thinking, research design, qualitative research methods, geriatrics, biomechanics, therapeutic exercise, massage, and anatomy.
In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Corvus develops course curricula and continuing education workshops for state and national organizations.
