BEIJING - The U.S. Geological Survey says Tibet has been hit by a magnitude-6.3 earthquake.
There are no immediate reports of casualties in Monday night's quake.
China's official Xinhua news agency says the quake was strongly felt in Tibet and that cracks appeared in some buildings in Zhongba county, the quake's epicentre.
Xinhua put the magnitude at 6.8.
On May 12, a magnitude-7.9 quake in China's Sichuan province killed 70,000 people and left five million homeless.
